Money Can't Buy Happiness
A simple phrase. I think we've all heard it at least once.
Money Can't Buy Happiness
But it seems we forget it sometimes. Because we get caught up in stuff. We want more stuff, we want more things that we really don't need.
And everything seems to be driven by money. Or success. The world turns on Money. But should it?
And who is more successful? The Billionaire who's miserable, or the Beggar who's happy?
Who is more successful?
Who is more successful, The Man who loves everyone, and has nothing, or the man who loves no one, and has everything?
Who is more successful?
Maybe there is something more to life then money. Maybe there's a deeper purpose then success. And because you are rich, doesn't mean you reached your potential. Because there is something that will always matter more than how much money you earned, what your grades were, how smart you are... One thing that will always matter more
How much did you Love?
When you are happy, it is not because you have money, success, or fame. It's because you are surrounded by people that Love you. Or because you just showed your love to somebody else. That's happiness.
I would much rather sit on the grass with my best friend, make shapes in the clouds (even though she wouldn't get it)..:) And talk for hours. Then be given one million dollars.
Memories are priceless.
I would rather sit on the porch with a friend and look at the mountains, and have her explain to me that they look really pretty, but it's mostly because of the pollution :). Then have a mansion
Memories are priceless
I would rather sit with my family around the fire and tell christmas stories. I would rather play chess and lose because I left. I would rather have a snowball fight. I would rather kiss in a field. I would rather have a sleepover with my cousin and tell scary stories. I would rather laugh at everything my uncle says. I would rather hold everyone I love close, and tell them I love them. Then be a billionaire.
These things cannot be bought. And they can never be bought. Love cannot be bought, but it is what makes you happy. Not money.
And Music. Oh Music. Music is the very outreaching of the human soul, the very substance of emotion. When I write a Song, it is exactly what my spirit is feeling. I can't express those things in words, but the notes surpass anything a mere word can express. And when you listen to a song, and you cry, or you laugh, or you smile.. Your spirit is crying. Or laughing. Or Smiling. Because it is your very soul. Music is part of the human soul. And we are all musicians. Because we all connect with music on that kind of level.
When you listen to 'The Dance' by Garth Brooks.. you cry because you are connecting with the spirit of the song.
Music is part of the human soul. I do not only have a passion for music. We all do. And music makes us happy. I don't know if I would still be here if 'Fake Plastic Trees' 'Waterloo Sunset' and 'What a Wonderful World' were not.
I am simply saying, there is so much more to us than money. So much more to us than Success. There is a Light that never goes out. That is Love. And that is Music. Shine the Light.
"Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved"
- Thomas S. Monson
